Welcome Beautiful!

Updated: Dec 1, 2018

So you want to become more tech-savvy and that is a beautiful thing! As a woman working in the technical field for the past 7 years, I have a very strong passion for the field and love to engage in all things tech-related. My ultimate goal is to inspire and empower women to overcome the fear of tech and learn just how easy it is to acquire the technical skills and concepts you desire! Whether it's learning about other women in the industry, the latest tech gadgets, essential technical skills, or simply looking to find a community that embraces women interested in all things tech, I am here to remind you that you technically can do this!

About our Technically Beautiful Blog

So why the name "Technically Beautiful?" As I began to evolve and excel in my own technical career, I soon began to receive a lot of questions from many women wanting to learn more about technology. Through these conversations, I became aware of the common misconceptions and apprehensions many women have about the field. Too many times I heard the phrases "I don't know how to code" or "I was never good at math or science, therefore I never thought I could pursue a career in tech." I felt women needed to begin to look at the field differently and realize that they too had a seat at the table. I have always admired women who continually push boundaries to redefine what it means to be a woman in today's society. Today more than ever before, women are free to develop and share their ideas and interests while taking pride in their femininity.

"I think it's very important to get more women into computing. My slogan is: Computing is too important to be left to men." - Karen Spärck Jones

So ladies, let's do this together!

I hope this website becomes a place where you find knowledge, ideas, inspiration, and connect with other women working in the many different areas of the tech industry.
