About our Tekwomen Blog
As I began to evolve and excel in my own technical career, I soon began to receive a lot of questions from many women wanting to learn more about technology. Through these conversations, I became aware of the common misconceptions and apprehensions many women have about the field. Too many times I heard the phrases "I don't know how to code" or "I was never good at math or science, therefore I never thought I could pursue a career in tech." I felt women needed to begin to look at the field differently and realize that they too had a seat at the table. I have always admired women who continually push boundaries to redefine what it means to be a woman in today's society. Today more than ever before, women are free to develop and share their ideas and interests while taking pride in their femininity.
